Headquartered in Freiberg/Germany, ACTech GmbH is a leading provider in the development of castings and production of prototypes. The company was founded in 1995 following the development and worldwide patenting of a procedure for the rapid production of sand casting moulds, the laser sintering of Croning® moulding material.
ACTech can combine different rapid prototyping processes to reduce time and costs by up to 80 percent compared with conventional techniques. Besides prototype development and production, ACTech’s competencies include high-quality pre-production and small series production as well as product and process development. With state-of-the-art CAD systems, 3D measuring systems, in-house casting laboratory, testing facilities and CNC machining centers, ACTech is fully equipped to provide individual solutions – from the initial product development idea through to series production. Thus, ACTech’s production plant has the capacity to supply around 15,000 prefinished casting prototypes per year, with near-series features.
Today, ACTech can look back on prototype projects for more than 870
international customers. Primarily companies in the automotive sector, aviation, mechanical engineering and plant construction make up ACTech’s customer base.
