P-D Glasseiden GmbH Oschatz can look back on decades of tradition in the manufacture and finishing of glass fibres for synthetic reinforcement. Glass has been melted and glass fibre drawn in Oschatz since as early as 1969.
P-D Glasseiden GmbH Oschatz has made a name for itself particularly in the development of products for market niches, for example textile glass complexes for drain redevelopment. With these specially developed glass complexes as reinforcement material drains are redevelopment without excavation, cost-favourably and in a lasting manner.In 2002 multi axial weaves with optimum fibre orientation are being introduced into the program. Preferred areas of application are ship, yacht and vehicle construction, rotorblades for wind power installations, sport devices, aerospace and many others.A high quality standard is a tradition at P-D Glasseiden GmbH Oschatz and has already been confirmed in 1995 with the certification as per DIN EN ISO 9001 and successfully defended to this day. Within the P-D Group of Companies the company has made an exemplary development. Thus it was possible to increase the company turnover from € 15 million in 1993 to over € 50 million in 2001 through targeted investment in innovative technology. In this respect every second tonne of textile glass is exported. The products are used in the automobile and vehicle construction industry (27 %), industry and agriculture (42 %), the building industry (21 %) and in the sport and leisure field (10 %).
